Manakish Zaatar Bread
Ingredients
Flour –1/4 cup
Atta Powder – ½ cup
Luke warm milk – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Sugar – 1/4 tsp
Instant Yeast – 3/4 tsp
Olive Oil – 1/4 cup
Zaatar mix
Procedure
In a bowl mix together flour, Atta powder, salt & sugar
Then add 2 tsp of Olive oil
Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk & pour into the milk to make a soft dough.
Knead the dough for 3-5 minutes on the counter top until soft and smooth.
Place in a bowl , apply some olive oil and cover with cling wrap.
Set aside for 2-3 hours or until double.
Preheat oven to 250 C.
Divide the dough into two equal portions.
Roll them into thick discs and place on a greased baking tray.
Take the remaining Olive oil in a bowl mix it with zaatar, Apply it on the middle of thick discs
Press it well into the disc.
Bake for 8 – 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
